The Foreign Secretary won the backing of 81,326 Tory members, compared with 60,399 for Mr Sunak.

The turnout in this year’s contest was 82.6%, with 141,725 party members casting a ballot.

If #LiarJohnson is supposedly still in favour with Murdoch why would @TheSun have run a front page imploring him not to run in #ToryLeadershipRace?
And @thetimes often has anti-#Brexit pieces/writers. Very confusing. @ThatTimWalker @TheNewEuropean

Penny , who actually had supported Liz Truss in 1st #ToryLeadershipRace, was rewarded with post of Leader of the House by Truss. @PennyMordaunt ran against Rishi right upto the last 5 minutes but is NOT happy with the same reward ? Really wierd !
